Fight The Good Fight

Good Morning Church Family & Friends,

ree

Have you ever wondered where to go next? What to do? How to process something? Do you desire to grow in Christ but feel like you are stuck? We have all been there! We will all get to that point at least once in our lives. How do we continue to "fight the good fight of faith" as Paul says?

One of the greatest Christ-centered relationships we can engage in is what we will talk about this week: Mentoring relationships! Our passage for our guide is 1 Timothy 6:11-21.

The Apostle Paul was seasoned in his faith through a wide variety of experiences (some of which we talked about this past Sunday (see 2 Corinthians 11:23-28). Timothy was his young protégé. Paul saw Timothy as a younger brother in Christ on the one hand and a co-laborer for Christ on the other. They talked. They shared. They connected. They lamented. They rejoiced. It is so important to have someone you can talk through things with and challenge one another. God designed this!

As we dive into what it looks like to engage in this type of relationship, we will discover that a mentoring relationship is a catalyst for God to really move in our lives and cause growth. We should all be pouring into someone (Like Paul did to Timothy) and have someone pouring into us (like Timothy had with Paul).

Think about who you are pouring into and who is pouring into you this week.

Can’t wait to share the Good Word this week with you all!

See you Sunday!

Your Brother in Christ,

Pastor Cory
